The Adult Day Health program at the Dream Center provides neurologically challenged adults with the tools and confidence to live independent, expressive lives.
Our passionate staff and volunteers care for the mental and physical needs of participants in an accepting environment that is less like a hospital and more like someone’s home. Activities five days a week include games, singing, craft-making, and creative writing. We provide participants with multiple creative outlets that encourage them to express thoughts and feelings that may have otherwise gone unsaid.
Participants who are physically capable go on exercise trips, such as to a bowling alley. Those with physical restrictions are given physical therapy. Everyone receives a continental breakfast, hot lunch and snack planned by a nutritionist and prepared by our in-house chef. There are also two registered nurses who quietly monitor medical needs throughout the day.
Adult Day Health inspires a voice in those who have been silent for years, and provides a home to many who have never had one.
