The Dream Center adopts a local, low-income community – not for a day, but for a lifetime. We connect with every individual that we encounter while providing any of the following services:

• Paint or remodel buildings
• Fix building exteriors
• Clean up community streets and parks
  • Impacting drugs, crime and other activity
• Help elders with chores such as cleaning and carrying groceries
• Provide stipends for groceries and clothing
• Play games with the children
• Summer park programs for children
• Connect people to other NEDC programs such as R.E.A.C.H. and Ignite

Our volunteers interact with each person using a door-to-door personal touch, lowering drug use and crime while increasing pride and respect within the community.

We immerse ourselves in the well-being of an area, inspiring other community resources to become involved and continue the help that we started.

After we have completed our mission, we have a fun-filled community cookout complete with music and dancing. There we invite people to become permanent members of the Dream Center family – as participants or volunteers in this and other NEDC programs.
